One of the biggest festivals in the states is Mardi Gras in New Orleans which is on Feb.28 2017. Prices have skyrocketed for even Americans to fly down there. The cheapest flight I found was from Southwest Airlines leaving from Buffalo Airport on Sun. Feb 26 - Sat. Mar. 4 you can leave on Sat. Feb. 25 for an extra 20$ USD.
